Abstract

In this paper, a rigorous analysis of periodic naicrostrip antennas arrays fed by microstrip network is presented. The modeling of the array and its feed network by equivalent electric circuits is based on the transmission line model. From this modeling, a formulation of the current which feeds each antenna is evaluated. This current will be a function of the spatial distribution of the elements in the array.This analysis has the characteristic to take into account both physical and geometrical parameters characterizing the microstrip antennas arrays, including the dielectric and the copper losses. Some results of the radiation pattern of different microstrip arrays are presented.
